Re:Sword, The - Gods Of The Earth
Jan 29 2008 00:07:27 Not about being lackluster or too simplistic, the drummer has a very annoying and monotonous style when it comes to the cymbals. Thing is, it's not something you need to notice unless you want to get nitpicky. And like I said, it's not at all one of the main problems with the album. It's the lack of arrangements and strong hooks to me. Their chops were much better this time and maybe the third one might see them get better at writing cool songs too. I still think 2 and a half is fair. I'd have given the first one 3.5 when it came out. I'd give that a 3 if I review it now.

Jan 29 2008 00:48:08 Heard this today. Was alright, nothing special. But then, I'm still a noob with this genre.

Re:Sword, The - Gods Of The Earth
Jan 29 2008 13:56:06 you guys are way too kind. This is one of the most boring derivative and unfairly hyped bands around today. Age of Winters would have scored a 2 in my book and this one a 1.5
