The setlist first. It had all the usual suspects and a very few from the last two albums. Up in the sky, Cool No 9, Satch Boogie, House full of Bullets, Psycho Monkey, Always with me always with you, Lords of Karma, Strange, Starry Night, Moroccan Sunset, War, Summer song, Flying in a blue dream, Surfing with the alien, Going down etc.,

Here's Satch's songwriting formula for all you newbies:

1. An intro leading to.

2. A Poppish sing-along melody (His discography has three types of songs) 1)Kenny G 2)PARTY/UPBEAT/HARD ROCK  3)Attempted Blues.

3. WANKERY.

4. Divebomb/whammy-abuse at the end EVERY fucking lick *WWEEEEEEEEEEIIIINNNNNNNN* *WHAAAAAAAOOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNN*.

5. Back to the melody(or a variation).

6. A LOT MORE noodling.

7. More cool guitar stunts including divebombs, feedback, repetition of runs, teaser licks from other songs , tapping(Yeah, the simplest of tapping wins you major crowd here) etc.,

8. Ending/Outro.

This shtick goes on song after song, every damn song.

It's all okay for a while, for he's a guitar hero who made guitar instrumental releases cool in rock music and proved you didn't really need to put a voice in front of your music for it to sell. BUT THREE FUCKING HOURS?! How does he manage to do it anyway? Gigs all around the world and this grind every alternative day amidst all the travelling? Gotta give it to him for that attitude and stamina atleast. A couple of hours into the show, I could barely even stand and this guy would just not stop belting it!

Back to what i wanted to say...I got bored.

The sound was excellent for a while but things got bad. Joe's guitars started farting while playing rhythm and the bass drum was giving obnoxious sounds.. BUT it was still fucking good considering we don't get to see rockers of this quality and stature too often. Joe's tone itself was great in parts and too processed and annoyingly wahwah-ed ALL THE TIME.. Playing? NOT A SINGLE BUM NOTE WHATSOEVER, but again, like I said, i got bored of the shit. The backing band was very satisfactory and did exactly that.. backing. The drummer kicks holy ass and the bassist(Matt Bissonette) was competitive and all, but i missed Stu's presence The gig didnt blow me away at all but it was great to see Satch.
Makes this show a kvlt experience for this rocker.
