Dreamweaver announces new album, reveals artwork, tracklist
Saturday, 27 October 2007 14:30

New album available worldwide November 10th 2007 on Thunderwings Records.

Veni, Vidi, Vulgo, the incredible new fantasy album from the Italian Symphonic-web2.0 metal legends Dreamweaver is slated for a November 2007 release according to the announcement on the band's website. Their guitarist/songwriter Antonio Morricone comments, "This is a classic tale about the neverending quest of a man to have his homepage published. He tries out geocities and tripod, he gives orkut and myspace a chance but he's never too happy with the outcome. The saga proceeds to thrillingly unveil how he gets the job done." It should be noted that the album title is in latin that profoundly translates to "I came, I saw, I published".

"We tell the saga using music, and we have great belief in it, and so how to write the lyrics and music comes to us naturally, inside the technology we also infuse realistic subjects, things to do with our lives, we just metaphorize them into the story. We are all very singular characters in the band, but the thing that we seek in the music is what binds us together, the love for what Dreamweaver does, we are very pleased with the final outcome, I feel that we've finally reached a level when we know what we want, and how to reach it, and this time Dreamweaver's vision finally met reality," Antonio further explains.

Often credited with bringing back the melodies and honesty in music, the world-wide-web crusade continues in 2007 with an album that's guaranteed to generate a breakthrough for Dreamweaver and metal music in general in the mainstream media in Italy. Veni, Vidi, Vulgo features a live 70 piece orchestra and choir and is self-produced by guitarist/songwriter Antonio Morricone and keyboardist/songwriter Alex Leone with assistance from co-producer Luca Pitrelli. The album also features an array of guest narrators and character actors.

The announcement also revealed the artwork and the tracklist of the album.

Dammit. Our scheme is apparently too genuine for its own good. Curse you, power metal excesses! Sigh...
