Ever wanted to walk off a cliff and end it all? 3 Years ago

...because life is tedious, boring, insignificant, pathetic and a chore. I'm tired of living. What a sad-ass routine-ish life! Wanna die and become a fossil.

Oh, he was serious. No, I've been too occupied with a few things to even think of killing myself. I try to a) not complicate things b) never lose the sense of humour c) keep myself motivated constantly with short-term and longer term plans (ie., get decent at guitar playing, take kvltsite to the next level, get the album ready, save up and buy gear, watch some good movies this weekend etc.,) and d) do things every now and then to break the monotony (travel, form a musical side project, learn some theory, pick up another hobby, visit family, meet friends, have a beer, write some code, watch a michael palin documentary etc.,).
Take it easy man.

Oh I've wanted to jump off a cliff several times, but mostly because I love heights and get all kicked about the prospect of free fall. Ending it all sounds no fun just yet - I'd only kick off if I knew there was a strong probability that I'd get to do it again. So that means a parachute, bungee cord, hang glider, windsuit or something along those lines.
Stop watching depressing Euro movies and listen to some Paul Gilbert.

^ I think watching those Euro movies will do him a world of good. Atleast then he'll know there are people far lonelier and fucked up than he is. His life would be a party compared to them.
Anyway, jumping off a cliff sounds too painful da. I'd rather put up with the everyday boring routine, make it as interesting as I can and be distracted enough to not think about the end of the days.

There's always collateral damage, no matter how you look at it.

Look at it this way, right now in your own terms your life is pathetic. End it, and poof you dont exist anymore. I'd definitely want to laugh a bit more and grab the occasional dose of happiness before I go out.
Sounds like an extreme case of existential crisis to me.

You are in Dubai right? Hm. If you are really going to go through with this, you may as well do something I wanted to when I was there in the interests of science and the spirit of inquiry. Go to a bookstore and ask for a copy of 'The Satanic Verses.' When they react with outrage up the ante on outrage yourself and say "What the fuck! I thought Dubai was a liberal Islamic state and not like the other towelhead fascist fanatic bastards. Stop fucking around and get me that book. Or else I'm taking my business to Singapore." I think it will be a far more spectacular way to go and save you the effort of climbing/driving up s cliff which can be quite exhausting.
But to answer your question - well, no. But I have spent time thinking of other ways of self annihilation. It sounds glib to say you'll grow out of it, but you probably will.

Fall into a tarpit if you want to be a fossil.
Assuming you're not trolling, though: take it easy, mac. There's always something to live for even if it's that next Motorhead album which you know will sound exactly like all the previous ones.

Does this mean we can safely ignore you and troll your ass the next time you pull this? I've always wanted to be responsible for an internet suicide [Cause of Death: Trolling] :p

If the thread starter isn't me it might be a bad idea. What if it's real... like Warhammer not finding the woman of his dreams and gets all choked up. I know we all say there's other fish in the sea, but still. :)
