Took a couple of months, but I got hold of and setup the monster this afternoon finally, and been rocking out since. Here's a pic with my amp head and the guitar for size-reference.

It was made by a start-up amp/cab/fx maker in Bombay with my specs and it seats a couple of 75W Eminence speakers that I brought down from the states. The guy took his own sweet time getting this done and really tested my patience. I gave off my old Laney practice amp to JP a while ago and was sick of writing shit on the acoustic guitar - wrote at least 3 new Bevar Sea songs during this period. Sounds great at room level volumes but these tubes really were begging to be cranked loud, which should happen when we jam this weekend. Can't wait.

Will need to get hold of some patch cables so I start connecting my fx pedals in the chain too.

The jam went fairly well. We were quite rusty with a couple of the older songs - not surprising considering we hadn't jammed in 3 months and I didn't get to play the electric guitar much during this period, but we got to work on two new songs, especially spending quality time on some cool tricky parts. I was sounding good but bassist was playing his old terrible bass through some terrible noisy stranger amp. He has parts of the session recorded on his laptop. We'll have to wait to see what they sound like.

Damn, turns out, kaiya's laptop placement butchered this sessions recordings and I had to end up recording the riffs (for reference) back in my room using my shitty transcend mp3 player's mic.

This should be pro sounding stuff with proper recording equipment...and a lot of band practice.

LMAO! Did you forget to record all those "cool, tricky parts"? That intro thing was laughable and your transitions are amateurish, jarring and completely uninspiring. Frankly, you sound like a noob whose freshly formed callusses are inhibiting his movement across frets. Um, those were just guitar riffs back to back done for reference for the rest of the band, and posted for Neel since he asked, but let him give it a go at the internet message board thing anyway. Looks like I finally managed to find my white whale though, that is getting good marks.

You kidding me? He was playing without the drummer, so it was probably hard to keep beat. And it obviously sounds better with the rest of the band playing. 'Cool, tricky parts' aside - this isn't as good as the other stuff, kinda repetitive.
