Friend tells me Sun has automatically upgraded all their subscribers to HD. A couple of sports channels, a couple of tamil channels and something called Iconcert have hd transmission. He says it's worth it if you're a sports fan, especially considering there are no ads.

Sun has done this upgrade for free so they can own all our bases, but wondering what the scene elsewhere is.

I'll be pretty sold if we get BBC HD. Some of their shows have some real good eye candy.

I say all that, but we still have CRT tv at home, and it's not even ours. The TV industry will have to stop shitting out new models and pointless upgrades so often for me to make a decision on a big tv.

Haha now wait for the new ethernet based digital signal cable which will render HDMI obsolete.
