Ki is the appetizer...heavy chill. I start the next one the day after...then the next will be the symphony, then an ambient album.

mmmm...

Tentatively, Ki is the mellow-ish intro to the story (a very pointed theme though, it's unnerving)
Addicted is the next one, heavy, fun and dance-y ...I like good choruses and dancing.
Deconstruction is a treat for the syl and ziltoid fans...(and then some...damn...it's fucking nuts.)
The ambient album, (sand theme) will close it off.

Ki is pretty much done. Going away to do addicted...(Nepal?) Deconstruction is done, just needs the orchestra. Ambient will be a collection of improv.

Then I'm going on vacation.

Hevy Devy needs to stop being such a dork, get a kick ass producer and just squeeze out one real album instead. Basically a 40 minute best-of compiled out of these four albums, with a real set of musicians.

It would be called Assteroid the Homoscient. About how Assteroid is the only gay alien on his planet and he comes to Earth looking for t3h buttsecks. Unfortunately he lands in Shivajinagar and gets repeatedly buttfucked by people who think he's one of the 72 sent down by Allah. The only way he can stop the madness is by sticking his own head up his ass.

Coincidentally, this is the source of inspiration for the next Danny Boyle movie starring Sadhu Kokila as Assteroid.

Was wondering if this Devy was Townsend. Love his solo works, so I think an album would be nice but somehow a 4-album take sounds boring and sucky.

Acc to me he has been boring and sucky since long. the "wall of sound" vibe does nothing for me and all songs end up sounding same. Thing with him is, people are so convinced of his genius that whatever he churns out gets a positive review.

^ hm yeah. I'm in the minority that thought Ziltoid totally sucked. I do like SYL in small doses though.

Ziltoid was fun, though not something I kept on repeat play for too long. Appreciate the effort at camp. Terria, Accelerated Evolution, Infinity and Synchestra, however, are awesome in my books (haven't spent too much time with Biomech/Ocean Machine). Devlab and The Hummer are too weird and meandering. As for SYL, while I dig quite a few songs from the s/t, City and Alien, the sheer in-your-face aggro-ness of it all wears me out prettty fast.

I don't think there's much point speculating on what somebody as strung-out and bipolar as Devin ought to do. From the sound of it, I have a good chance of liking Addicted the most out of the 4.
