Listening to The Ocean's new album Heliocentric which is very interesting thus far. They have a new vocalist who does clean vocals (varying from Isis-type hardcorish vocals to Tool-ish moments to something you're likely to find on a trad. doom album) and growls and he's not all bad. The songs aren't as technical as they were on Precambrian nor are there that many riffs - instead its a more cohesive 'songwriting first' sort of album, with a lot of emphasis on a verse-chorus structure. Good stuff nonetheless - will need to listen to this more.
