Kvelertak - S/t Good Norwegian Black 'n roll here though I've never heard such a melodic variety. To be honest, there isn't all that much black metal on this save for raspy vocals and some very nice blastbeat-rife interludes here and there - what you do get is tons of punk-ish, bluesy and catchy (straightforward) chord progression riffs. Diggin' it. Excellent artwork by John Baizely..

John Baizely - Got that before I even started reading your text. I feel the artwork doesn't convey the band's music, from your description. A bit "stock" probably.

^^Haha.. You're right, it doesn't fit the music at all.

Deadhorse - We Can Create Our Own World Semi-decent 'expansive' post-rock with pianos tending towards baroque melodies. Interesting enough for a while I suppose.

i like this record, it has its fine moments,highlight being the wonderful ballad "Its Allright" sung by Bill Ward and not to forget the real cool and out of place artwork by Hipgnosis!

Checked out Mendonsa's Blackstratblues' New Album (yeah, that's what it's called). Is it just me or does this one not come close to NISK? It is interesting in parts but all in all, it lacks a certain sense of awe inspiration, which sold NISK.

Camel was a wonderful discovery and I followed that up with Caravan. This band is also good and have a unique style too. Some interesting pieces there.

Andromeda's Extension of the Wish left me wishing they had found a better session's vocalist. But I just loved the song Crescendo of Thoughts. Apart from that not too much stood out.

+1. The New Album lacked, in one word, "feel". Aah well, at least it made him come down to Mumbai for a few gigs.
