Well, I've listened to Aenima and Lateralus several times over, and there's still plenty of life in them. Undertow and 10,000 Days are good for a spin now and then as well. Don't really care about the hype either way.

Lateralus is worth all the hype. Ya, they're not easy listening, but sit down in a dark room with no distractions and a good sound system or really awesome headphones and thou shalt be blown (with no sucking :D)

Tool fans are almost as annoying as DT and floyd fans but they're a great band.

In my order of preference.

Aenima 5/5
Lateralus 4.5/5
Undertow 4/5
10,000 days 3/5

I can't not mind the fanboys. They're bountiful in my college. It's so irritating listening to their banter when you've just flown one. I have to cover some 500 meters just to get back to my room to escape that shit...

Some spiral, mom dying in 1000 days, third eye etc. etc.

But yeah, Aenima KICKS ass!

I just discovered Tool a year back when I heard some at Chacko’s office. Till that time the Tool fanboys had been the very reason why I never checked out the band. I just figured that any band whose loyal following consisted of people this daft was probably not worth checking out. Pretty kickass music though so it worked out quite nicely.

I like Tool.
Undertow's the peronal fav but like Aenima quite a bit. Lateralus was allright and 10,000 Days I didn't get at all.
