I was surprised how much I liked this. The melodic vocals still don't sit well with me, and this is a somewhat different God Dethroned from the Bloody Blasphemy era. Still, even if there's nothing very original here, it's a very effective story-album, extremely powerful and successful at evoking its subject matter. Note to wannabe concept album makers: it works better if you choose a really epic story, not some soap opera about a chick being killed by a junkie and getting reincarnated.
