Re:Kvlt Komix 1 - Issue 1
Aug 05 2008 01:06:39 Chacko. 5 on fucking 5 man. Art is like Sam Noir Meets DMZ meets 5 notches better.
Excellent work. |

Aug 05 2008 11:51:48 Hahaha terrific, although you should aim for a more potato-ey nose for Ravenus.
Kudos to Ganesh Threepwood and Le Chack. |

Aug 05 2008 21:33:57 Arigato, mina-san!
@Kau: Ushu - thanks, haven't read the stuff you referred to, though I remember your review of DMZ. Damn, this style was just playing around with some speed sketching in photoshop. Primarily just tweaking with the opacity. For anyone who cares, I used a brush at 30% opacity for the foreground and a large brush at 10% for all those background smears. Highlights I carve out quite brutally with an eraser at full opacity. Saves time. Only thing I'm not happy about is I'm going through it so fast I tackle each frame one at a time and so don't give much thought to the larger layout (like I do with Rockout Boy). But if it means I finish it in less than half the time, I guess it's worth the tradeoff. @ravenus: Hehe caricature is really not my thing - if I'm lucky, I'll get one distinct feature to exploit in any one character. Again, to save time, I just fudge that part of it. Oh, and that's quite a superb pun, you monkey! Must use it somewhere. |

Re:Kvlt Komix 1 - Issue 1
Aug 06 2008 15:49:44 Easier said than done. Unless we do it with our own money, which is possible. But I have to wonder, who the hell is going to appreciate this outside the people here?
